Prior to reading your commentary I had quickly developed an image of you standing tediously on a small fishing boat, rocking back and forth. Expensive camera equipment is in hand, and you are working on a statue-like stance for thirty minutes to obtain that glassy water. This is why you are a photographer, and I am not. Beautiful shot.
