That's awesome, you know we also made it a part of the kids education to learn about not just mushrooms, but edible and medicinal plants in the woods. It's a great skill to have, though also super important that they are completely certain of the plants. The way I handle that is if it's something that has a toxic look alike that's too close, then for now we leave it be. But my son is so determined that I think next year, when the weather is nice again, we'll see if we can find those particular plants, both the edible and toxic varieties and get enough samples of each until we all feel satisfied that we know which is which.
