The carnival here already boils, moves the city and the trade in downtown Recife is filled with colors and an immense diversification of costumes, masks, and other props that many people, not only from here, but tourists from other places of the city. Brazil and the world, buy to be able to play the carnival featured just like your superhero or movie character or favorite cartoon.

<center>The variety is immense</center>



I went for a walk through the popular trade in the narrow streets of the neighborhood of Santo Antônio, downtown Recife and what I found were a lot of creativity and joy. The good thing about acquiring some fancy or carnival prop here in this region is the immense diversification.

**We can find fantasies of Superman, Spider-man, Minnie and Mickey, Roman Emperor, Captain of Ship etc. Something also very cool in buying your carnival costume here is the price. Generally it is very cheap and we can characterize ourselves to enjoy the carnival with less than 50 BRL (Brazilian Real) which in dollars would be 17 USD more or less**.

The carnival festivities here are already happening. Next Saturday we have on the streets of Recife the biggest party of carnival in the world (This is what the Guinness Book says), The *Galo da Madrugada* that gathers more than 2 million people in the streets of Recife to greet the official beginning of the carnival. I will go to this festival to take many photos and share with you here in my blog all the details of this immense festivity.
