Hello Steemians! The ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds series is designed to be a sort of platform for sharing some of my greatest works with @adsactly readers.

Many of the verses I've shared and continue to share were written in collaboration with a friend of mine. Others were written as solo projects and some made their way to the recording booth. I find that collaboration brings many benefits most of which revolve around having someone to bounce ideas off of and sort of be challenged to pick up where the other has left off.

I've got another special piece for @adsactly readers today, another powerful verse I wrote for a solo project. I think it has a bunch of really cool concepts readers will connect with but as always I will leave that up to you to decide!

## Thoughts on Life (Part 2)

Now here's a story to be told he's always been a lion...

One that the tigers wolves and bears admired.

One that those young ones observant realized inspired to be and become.

It didnt take long to learn the game and measure things at their propper weights.

It wasnt hard to calculate wins and losses as theives and bosses entertain and entangle themselves in their night lives.

There were those who got it and there were those who want it and there's the people that connect a to b.

But the keen eye can be decieved when human emotion becomes overwhelmed by greed and what we were then had never confined aspirations of change and what we may chose to re-arrange.

Now what we think about is more often what we are than what we're not.

---

A trick is to project what we want.

So as to never give up tryin ta get it with each and every breath and each and every step that we take its small efforts that add up as momentum makes a play.

And even in the old days a bird in a hand was worth two in the bush or at least that's what they say.

But there are those who like the low blows kick em' when they're down and take the boot to the face...

Take every opportunity to disgrace an make em' look like a clown.

But in my town ya get 'thanks for the evolution' patience brings retribution each individual problem has its own unique solution never forget it's hypothesis proven that there's no absolution for the morally destitute so the rest is up to you.

With so many challenges in the world we may as well get a move on it...

And in the days to come we can strategize exactly what it is we want to do…

### My Thoughts on This Verse

In the first verse I called on the strength of great human rights leaders for inspiration.

I discussed politics, brought up whistleblowers that have really made an impact in our world and also sort of made a point that it came at a huge cost to themselves which I'm not sure if people really get or appreciate.

>Even Snowden and Assange couldn’t have it carte blanche.

I firmly stated that good things come at a cost. Things that have the ability to benefit humanity are often quite large undertakings and the personal cost of telling the truth can be quite high if there is indeed a deep state that has a deep incentive in covering it up.

In this recent verse I moved on from those concepts and sort of told a story about the rat race. The race where you find honest work or try your luck at quick money. A choice between light and darkness, sort of. Or more appropriately risk.

Then I discussed the power of mind. We can literally create our own circumstances. I know things may seem impossible but there are possibilities we are simply not seeing right now. We need to know what we want and we need to focus our energy towards getting it!

Anyways, I'd very much like to know your thoughts and feelings about this verse so if you liked it or didn't like it, I'd love to hear your opinion either way!

Hello, @zentalk. Let me make a critical comment. I read your thoughts and try to follow you in what you want to say, but I feel that, frequently, your idea(s) gets lost a little in some unnecessary abstract or allegorical style. By the way, I wouldn't call them verses. I learned, through my reading and literature studies, that a literary text (poem, story, etc.) should not be explained by the author; that the reader should be allowed to interpret. Now, if the latter cannot be done well, something is happening with the author's text. I leave this to you for the purpose of reflection. Thank you for your post and greetings.

While I do agree with some of your statements, I don't know that I agree that lyrics should not be explained. Nor do I believe lyrics which are unable to be interpreted have "something happening with the author's text". We all get from art what we bring to it. That includes the author. I like to hear interpretations of poems from both readers and authors.

I took your point under consideration and agree that the thoughts presented may not be delivered in a direct manner. I think you have gone to far in not calling them 'verses' of which they are. I definitely respect your opinion and welcome your suggestions / feedback with open arms however. It may be that you are just not really able to connect with the verses which I find myself having the same problem when I read / listen to other artists work all the time. In addition, if presented in a musical format it may come off in a completely different light and some things you feel are 'too abstract' may actually manage to make sense through music. Or maybe not. Either way I leave this for you to reflect upon. Thanks.

Sometimes I feel like I'm catching the meaning of your poems, sometimes not so much. The human being seeks to overcome himself, because he intuits that the real enemy he has is himself. Society may go against you, but you still seek to overcome yourself. The power of a few cannot go against the will of many, because the day man loses his compass, we will be food for ourselves. Greetings, @zentalk
