Nicely done, @macksby! In the first stanza, is the line supposed to read, "With thoughts of true love," ? This is a very heavy one, I liked how innocence was portrayed in the beginning and then it was tempered with needing to learn how to take care of yourself in this physical world. Congrats to you for speaking on this difficult subject!

So many women I admire, that have passed through my life.., have had to experience some kind of unprovoked abuse. But through all that strength they have acquired, there's slight look of pain in their eyes. Thanks @ericvancewalton!

It's very sad, indeed. I've even met a few people in my life this has happened to as well. Abusers can be so manipulative.
