I noticed my love for neon when I started to use the colors in my drawings. Obviously, I picked these neon colors for the scarf also to give @feelx a new reason to get a headache and to use his sunglasses! LOL! <br> I made a scarf like this before. It might be the only way I enjoy crochetting a scarf! I might end up with 100 scarfs in the same pattern! I might not care! I found the video for this scarf on youtube and I always love how they have names for every action you take! I just call them one of this here followed by the one I can't pronounce, etc etc. <br> # I need videos to learn patterns. Why? Because I can't read things with numbers and patterns and weird words. When I see it done, I copy it like a pro! Long live the people who take the time to show us all how to do it! I can also do the normal chrochet patterns, so when push comes to shit, I can make blankets and keep myself warm when the world explodes in what ever it will! Ooh, I'm so proud of my little, uncoordinated hands for crafting this scarf!  Granted, I used a knitting board and I employed the simplest of stitches but I still did it. And...even with the knitting board I dropped a stitch (it's fixed now).  I used 100% baby alpaca yarn from Misti Alpaca. I actually bought two skeins of 108 yards each of the yarn three years ago and just now got around to creating something.  The finished scarf measures a very modest 43 inches long which would probably be a good kid size but I ran out of yarn so, it is what it is.  This scarf is the softest thing ever. It puts cashmere to the test, no doubt! No babies or alpaca or baby alpacas were harmed in the creation of this scarf.

<center> With my first scarf being done, I thought it was time for a new project and this time a bit harder. I like to look on Youtube to see what people make and try it myself. This time I picked a scarf made by a dutch woman and its called ocean waves. <br>  <br> I am using the same wool is with the first scarf only in a different color set. So, I paid β¬2,49 for it. The wool is like super cheap and its 150 grams. This means you can make 1 scarf with one ball. Wowserssss... I like cheap things! I am Dutch remember! <br> The start was hard... Oh it was so hard and to be honest, I wanted to quit a few times. But after starting over for round number 6 I finally got the hang of it! And now it goes really well. This pattern will take me a lot longer but that is okay! I mean I still have a few months left before I will need it! <br>  <br> Because of the ribble that shows on the waves, the scarf is turning into something really soft and fluffy. Well, I like that! Easy, mindless crochet.  <br>Now, it didn't look like the first picture at first... I was overly excited to work on the scarf that I forgot to check if I have another ball of yarn of the same colour. And of course, after almost finishing the single ball of yarn that I have, I realised that I do not have another of the same colour!!  <br>The 1 ball of yarn gave me about 1.2 meters of scarf. Sigh....  Thank you __all__ so much for your support during this year and for your advice about this stitch @fiberfrau, @muscara, @shanibeer, and @kimmac. I have to be quite βdeliberateβ when knitting this two colour brioche stitch. I have unravelled the scarf quite a few times, but I don't mind as I'm learning something new. For the record, I'm using double knitting acrylic yarn and size 3.25 knitting needles as the suggested size 4mm made the stitch appear too loose I get to the end of each row and I either have one or two strands to deal with (see photos 1 and 2 above). The first stitch of each row needs to have a 'yarn over' using the other colour yarn. In order to avoid the loops at the end of the row that I described [yesterday](https://steemit.com/needlework/@cryptocariad/needlework-two-colour-brioche-scarf-301218) (see the photo below) I have βworked outβ a strategy:  I have been positioning the yarn (see collage photo 3, depending on what colour I need to do) and then βwrappingβ the yarn Iβm going to be knitting with βtightlyβ before knitting it, and again βpullingβ the one thatβs not knitted (photo 4 once knitted). This looks much neater. It's beginning to take shape; it will be a narrow and short scarf; it's already about 60 cm so Iβm half way there.  Here's an update of that 'infinity scarf' I posted about on Monday. I've done (and re-re-done) it quite a few times to try and manage the tension on the edge stitches to try and keep one side from being looser than the other. @jen0revision is really happy with it so far, so I've continued working on it. The photo above shows you the right side and the wrong side (which I personally prefer). As an aside, I reckon I could be forgiven for thinking that there was going to be more of a gradual change of colour considering the label :  I thought the colour changes would be less noticeable somehow and, for the record, I did look up the definition of 'ombre' : > ... ombre is the French word for color that is shaded or graduated in tone.
