This is a particularly poignant example of the undue influence financial control of the economy has over society, due to the ongoing ravages of COVID-19 in China today, and perhaps the rest of the world soon.

The fact that the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRACO_(antiviral)">DRACO antiviral mechanism</a> is <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/the-rider-institute-is-crowdfunding-2000000-for-draco-antiviral-that-may-be-effective-against-virtually-all-viruses-300266643.html">resorting to crowdfunding</a> to fund further development illustrates that Pharmaceutical companies profit from disease, and curing all disease will drive them out of business.  

They only make money when we get sick.

The noxious influence of money on health care is going to be the death of us all.
