Thank you for the shout out, @celestal. You definitely do not need any vaccines for Thailand, especially if you are only going to be in Bangkok. I would not trust a water filter though and drink bottled there. Thai people do not drink from the taps in Bangkok and would be horrified to hear you will try it. Your best bet for the SIM card is after arrival at the airport where many places will be competing for your business. One of my upcoming posts will be about airport transport, so I will be sure to let you know when I do it. It would have been this week's post until I saw this contest :) You know I was going anyway, but your last two paragraphs make me want to go even more. I can't wait and I know this will be a great event.
