Водопад Мерчисон, Уганда (43 м) — одно из самых великолепных природных явлений на планете.
Гигантское зрелище: со огромной скоростью вода резко срывается с высоты. Люди давно заметили, что звук водопада действует расслабляюще на нервную систему людей. Водопад — мощные срывающиеся водотоки с отвесного уступа. Представляют собой сложнопреодолимые  стихийные водоразделы. Стремительные, падающие с запредельной высоты водные потоки способны восхитить каждого. Водопады не имеют чётко определенного расположения, они постепенно смещаются вверх по реке. Эти необыкновенные явления могут внезапно возникнуть на том или ином участке реки после таяния ледников, вулканической активности, грунтового сдвига и пр. Получается это еще и из-за чудовищного напора водных потоков, которые с каждым годом подтачивают породу. В итоге поток падает с новой границы уступа, расположенной чуть вверх по течению. Подобные уникальные образования могут внезапно образоваться в каком-то месте реки после землетрясения, грунтового разлома, вулканической активности и т.д.. Случается это еще и из-за обльшого воздействия водных масс, которые ежедневно размывают камень. В результате вода ниспадает с новой линии обрыва, находящейся чуть выше по течению. Водопады постоянно посещают множество экскурсантов и влюбленных.
