Did you know that Our galaxy, the Milky Way -->şţęęɱȋț<--

<p>It is a spiral galaxy with a diameter of approximately one hundred thousand light-years. The galaxy is spinning slowly, so that the stars of the arms revolve around the center with a period of about 250 million years. The Milky Way has 4 spiral arms and about 100,000 million stars. Our Sun is an ordinary yellow star of medium size, located near the center of one of the arms of the spiral and about 30,000 light years from the center of the galaxy. The Milky Way is clearly visible on summer nights where the strip of stars is the result of looking at our singing galaxy from within. As in all galaxies, what we see is only a small part of what there is, for in a galaxy there is also dark, non-luminous matter that is not visible. In the center of the galaxy the density of stars is greater, so that if our Sun were located in the center of the galaxy it would never be at night because there would always be one or several stars giving us their light. If that had happened surely there would be no life on this planet by modifying the delicate conditions that make it possible (regardless of radiation).</p>
