This is certainly an interesting thing you've brought to my attention and I'll surely be keeping an eye out for further developments on this. But i will need a lot more molecular mechanism explanation to be convinced on how this works to be honest.

Actually, no. Viagra (sildenafil) is a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor, predominantly an inhibitor of PDE 5.

PDE is the enzyme that breaks down cGMP. So viagra merely prevents the breakdown of the _already existing_ cGMP. It doesn't increase the production of cGMP.

But nonetheless, thanks for bringing this research article to my attention. This will be wonderful if it goes through a successful human trial phase.
