I'm new on Steemit. Just started to explore more on this platform lately. I'm can be categorized as accidental upvote abuser. I didn't really know how the curation rewards is calculated (I should learn more on this).

While I looked back into my comments page I tried around with all the buttons and functions. Upvoted my own few comments and saw the rewards increased. It didn't really dawned on me at first that this is a big ethical issue on Steemit until I read few similar posts about this. Now I knew better, no more self comment upvote from me :-P

I do agree though that self post upvote should be allowed to allow new steemians' contents with less voting power be more visible.
The self comment upvote should be eliminated as an option in future Steemit iteration. I don't know if this is possible. But seems reasonable to eliminate self upvoting bots (I was accidentally one of them).
