I personally didn't even notice that this was a problem, as I just upvote my posts because...well... it's the default setting.

Also, possibly the "panhandler effect" ? The one where if there's already money in the cup, you're more likely to give... I'm a scientist, after all ;)

But it's true, using the community might be more effective, as any rewrite of the code to stop it could open up other ways to "game the system", sadly XS
