Thanks to the added upvoting power I got from the hard fork, I now make <em>almost as much</em> money upvoting other people's stuff as I would upvoting my own.

For this reason, I find it better just to keep upvoting stuff I like, rather than just upvoting my own stuff. It helps the community, builds good will and good PR, and profits me just as much as it would if I self-upvoted.

I think a lot of people would be surprised just how profitable it is to be generous, and that's especially true on Steemit.
