We still have a long way to go, but the direction is headed the right way. We tend to think that certain points in history are pivotal points of humanity but it's more like a road of continuity with milestones and check points along the way. Good point though.

You are very right, Honeybee, There has been much progress, and the recent "ripping off of the bandaid" has exposed a lot of the hidden racism to the cold hard light of day, and that may well propel us forward in another leap like the hard work of the '60s did.
