Great post @abitcoinskeptic Packed with quite a bit of info....
first, the x in #spudx was partially inspired by you. 
Second, what happens to the shrimp, do you eat them? Or are they pets? Pretty cool stuff nonetheless. 
As for the proposal, I can relate to how you feel, since I am not really excited by either, and I can see the pros and cons to both. 
Any chance you can give me a brief rundown on what the steem.dao is and how it works?

Thanks, spud is always nice. I wonder if it can get to 30? Will you call it 3X,  triple X, or the classic xXx? 

I powered up everything I earned here long before spud, but eventually I may start selling some if my target is met in the future. Not even sire what that is yet.

Those shrimp just clean up the dead plants amd keep algae under control. They are little gardeners.
There are probably around 150 in there. All of them combined would probably weigh less than a cocktail shrimp. We do eat the mini ones in Korea (a very salty yhing you add to meat usually), but I think those are a different species that likes salt water.

So in theory people could have like their own shrimp pond for food at home? 
That is some cool stuff, do you ever post about those ponds? How to make and maintain them? That would make for some good info. Please tag me or let me know when and if you do.

This is just a decorative thing for my house and a hobby. I post about my fish tanks occasionally. I just have the one shelf with 3 tanks. Anymore would be a headache. It already takes about 4 minutes of my time a week.

I did read about some dude running a commercial shrimp farm in Saskatchewan which is a land locked province in Canada. He raises shrimp to sell to restaurants in large tubs in his barn.
In theory one could easily have their own supply similar to chickens, carp or tilapia. You'd just need a safe place to keep large tubs like a shed, garage or basement and an apetite for shrimp. There are videos online. I'd consider trying it if I had the space. I wonder if I could get to cheaper than the market?
