Very helpful tips. The time you put into this can be very rewarding on the long run. Having a full-time job is slowing it down a little but i'll come there. 
For me it is mostly about creating and uploading great content that may interest other people. In my case that is mostly about photography and art. I am confident that that will grow my account eventually.
