I absolutely adore the idea of commenting on the posts of others rather than simply adding more new content. It appeals to me on multiple levels. First, I'm lazy. I don't see laziness as a bad thing, rather, I see it as a great quality. Lazy people, such as myself, find the most efficient way to get the job done. You are absolutely right. Rather than spending three hours to create new content which will likely have the same effect as the last post, it makes more sense to build buzz for you brand - so to speak. Second, particularly for a new user (such as myself) reading through the posts of others and interacting with them will help to build familiarity with the system and the community. That sounds like another win! And third, I like the idea of slowing down on the content creation and engaging with what has already been created. It is akin to stopping to smell the roses, in my mind. Our world goes by so quickly with all this technology that it is easy to lose sight of others when we are only focused on ourselves.

I'm a bit confused though. I'm hearing a lot about minnows, whales, and the occasional catfish. I'm slowly gaining an understanding of what those terms mean...but I want to be a mermaid when I grow up. Do those fit into the steemit family anywhere? ;-)
