I'd definitely say goodbye. It seems like the only polite thing to do. So many of the people I started with just fell away... and it does hurt a little. There's a bond formed when you set out on a new adventure and I've honestly been concerned when people have fallen away, I just want to know they're okay. The farewell post is a nice way of saying "I'm not dead, I'm just doing other things." If you left, I'd be so mad. So. Goddamn. Mad.
