In the family I grew up in, your worth and value is based on how much you sacrifice yourself. If you sacrifice yourself 40 hours a week, Ok job. If you sacrifice yourself working 40 hours a week at a job you hate, better! Now, if you work 60 hours a week doing a job you hate, you are a very valuable and worthy human.
