The points that struck me the hardest were intention and documentation.

The part about intent drove me to think about what I was doing here. Up until that I was posting authentic stuff about me that I learned from life and from groovy people but I had a hard time to figure my purpose on Steemit. During that time @ironshield reminded me that it is more blessed to give than to receive. This led me to think of ways that a blog could be used to give to others. 

The second big wake up call was documentation. I spent some time making things to post on Steemit and I see clearly that it is more effective to just keep a record of what is going on in my life. This is original content for sure. My last post is authentic and documents my interactions with one student with learning disorders.  I couldn't just go around and record the student but I could include his story and a couple of pictures of his struggles.

These posts from Gary's "Crushing it!" did change the way I think about media and blogging.  Thank you very much for sharing and inviting us all to participate in this community of learning.
