This is obviously me speaking from a bit of a purist perspective but. Dont or havent we already dealt with "heavy handed investors" in the form of whales moving voting pools to their liking. I mean of course it isnt the only possibility but if angel investors where brought into the mix wouldnt that add to the likeliness of the overall vision of steem being corrupted? That is freedom of speech through a globally distributed and uninterruptible communication mechanism. At least thats what I think of steem as. I think maybe a more prudent thing to do is for steemit inc to regarly reconsider its withdrawing amount and gauge based upon that. I don't see any reason that while steemit inc holds the steem's vision in mind that they cannot be funded by the platform...
