Come on, your reputation is 72, you know how the system works.

Steem is constantly trying to give some peanuts to people so they don't leave

It is attracting low-quality content creators

Those are producing worthless posts that nobody reads and making the whole platform compromised.

If there is some gem, some arbitrary rules, like Curie's limit of posting or STEM classes of rewards are rewarding those quality creators as much as some plagiarists/scammers.

The result is known - those people go away

**What I don't understand**

Why those communities that **can pay** anywhere between 10 and 30 monthly salaries simply don't...

Find 10 - 30 professionals to do the job of content creation?

It's really simple if countless good youtubers are able to have the base of fans willing to pay them 1500 - 3000 $ per month via Patreon, why those communities don't give them "a salary" to promote Steem and bring new people.

If they are able to do it - great, keep them
If they are not able - great, let's find those who can

**Is there any page, from Steem(it) that is No1 hit in Google Search**

There are, some of them from my community, yu-stem, but those are almost negligible in comparison to the sheer amount of - nothing.

What stakeholders are expecting (*I don't know why...) is that those people are going to learn how to write. **They will not, proven in practice**
They also think that people are hanging on platforms in order to get some money. **No, people are using internet to get info/fun**. Make Steemit good, people will naturally come to Steem(it)

And the most important, I don't understand why on Earth those communities are not able to make **an open call**

WE ARE HIRING: We want X to do Y, we will pay Z amount of Steem. Deadline ... date...

Just as any other company on the planet Earth.

There is not a single institution, business, sports club or whatever with the plan:

Hey, folks, anyone can come, do anything and we will maybe give you a dollar.

**Forget the peace, abundance, community, equity, all those buzz words, and instead embrace....**
**professionalism, responsibility, sustainability, quality - and the things will start to change**

The problem you describe is real. We are bad at rewarding Quality.

It is partly a numbers game. We only have a handful of people who can give a vote that is meaningful.

I personally don't care about what many of you call Quality. Read my blog if you don't believe me.

I've never gone to one site to read quality. If I want a topical quality article I will search google and find one.

This is about social networks. So, I don't mind that many of you think it is a circle jerk, because that is a fancy name for social network. :)

I do think as more people hold Steem it will self correct.

> I've never gone to one site to read quality.... This is about social networks...

Maybe we are thinking about the same but we are using different words.

If we are speaking about Instagram, for example, I will follow those who are consistently producing the type of photos that I find appealing.

Mountains, cars, girls, whatever... But I have some instinct what is "top quality", "acceptable", "too fake" and "not worth following"

The fact is that some companies want to promote their product if the specific users are fulfilling their vision of "quality".

That is adding inherent value to Instagram.

Besides that, the fact that I'm spending my time scrolling my Instagram feed is letting me susceptible to ads - that is producing more value.

The same goes for FB. I'm following people who are making "quality posts". When I say quality, it can be a similar kind of humour or a similar style of memes or simply interesting sentences.

**My question is:** Qui bono, if the Steemit rewards are distributed in the way they are / were distributed?

Is there a method to measure if the distribution is optimal for the given goal (increasing the number of users)?

And finally, can it be done in a better way?

**Based on the drop in popularity, drop in price in comparison to BTC and the fact that not a single big player accepted Steem(it)** (*RT came about a week ago, but...) **I'm pretty sure that the current system is not the best one**
