It could stop the spamming, but that would mean so many newbies not earning anything for their time spent here. Think of it like this...if the threshold is set to $1 SBD, how many newbies that spend time writing a post would receive a payout? Not very many. I know I still don't make $1 SBD on some of my posts. It would be a shame to not have newbies earn those pennies simply to stop spamming.
