I somewhat agree, somewhat disagree. Given the nature of this system (though hardly unique to this system, as sock puppets are widespread on other social sites as well, where there is often little to no information, or no useful information, about which accounts are voting), people should not infer popularity from vote count (likewise popularity of disapproval from flag count) and I have repeatedly argued that these indicators should be removed from the UI (and possibly-replaced with a stake-weighted "score")
