I got really close to that place of almost stopping... simply because it was "too much work." Sure, I could "make" Steemit work (and I did)... but I *shouldn't have to.* And clearly, I was not alone... the interaction level on my posts dropped by 50%. The main reason I kept going was this sense that *"They are not going to let the site be in this shape for SteemFest."*
