Steem Value Plumeting

With the value of steem plummeting along with other crypto currencies, is it worth your time continuing to post articles?

If you are simply here to earn a profit and hope to make a living off crypto then you might be out of luck. It is certainly time to invest in a new venture.

However if you are like myself then you are here for the social aspect and the value of steem doesn't matter. I am here to share my life adventures with you all. I hope that steem lasts a bit longer because my adventures are not yet over.

Like the stock market, you only lose if you cash out and sell so hang on for the ride long term and pray the value goes back up. I believe steem value will rise again.

this isnt like the stock market. crypto is only as good as its high end players and when they announce they are dropping out then its no longer of any value. my account a few months ago without any withdraws was worth $6000 USD and now worth $906 USD. the powers that be all say they a dropping out and quitting crypto because of all the bans and new laws coming out destroying crypto initial stance of being free from control. there is no way it can recover from that. the whole point of crypto is being undermined by new regulation. because of this crypto will continue to fall and is more expensive to participate in than its returns. im not saying leave or cash out or quit. im saying if you are here to earn a living then you will be poor. if you are here for fun then have at it. crypto (not just steem) is dying and cant possibly recover due to regulation being created thus destroying the entire concept of crypto to begin with...

Good points. Everything that made crypto valuable to black market commerce is killed by government regulation. You are right cause if it is tracked and controlled then people will stop using it. Good times are over for the big players.

Just  a few weeks ago my 100% votes were worth $0.17 and now it is only worth $0.6 and I have not made any withdraws or changes other than increasing rep  and power etc... a sure sign steem is failing big time...

Losing 2/3rds of your value is hard to take. Only way to recover anything is to wait for a rebound and pray it goes back up.  With everyone waiting also makes the rebound slow to happen as less people are working generating profits. It is not called depression for nothing.
