Couple of points I'd like to make. Yes on APPIC XAP will be the currency, but like all smart media tokens, it's actual underlying base is Steem. As these SMTs are created they will be tradeable on the currency market just as steem and SBD are now. For XAP or any other SMT to become FIAT currency it first has to become steem then get transferred to an exchange. I see Steemit staying the wild west of blogging sites. Anything goes - porn, bots, self voting, etc. while the new kids on the block(chain) will come in 31 new flavors. The white paper for APPICS made it clear there will be no porn, no bots, and that each category will have moderators.

Great comment and also how you described it. You are right about the XAP Currency and STEEM. I should have explain this better. Thanks for adding this my friend. This is something meant as I was saying that the team behind Appics saw and are seeing what is going wrong with steemit. But I also think that steemit could learn from that and improve their own project. You don't think so?

I would like to see steemit mature into a site that will appeal to a wider audience. I'm not sure those with the biggest vests share that opinion.
