I buy copper rounds for unique designs.  There are some limited edition silver rounds that I like from Silver Shield.  Some of these silver rounds have a unique and impressive design.  In this case, I get as many silver rounds that I can get.  Then, I get a few of the same design in copper because it is also a limited edition. Basically, if I believe the design is good, then it is also good in copper.

I could imagine the premiums on the copper rounds would be pretty steep, but they look great. I have basically been stacking some old copper coins, I probably have about 10 kg or so, cheers.

The premiums are outrageous from a percentage point of view. One ounce of copper worth 19cents and a 1 ounce copper round costing at least 99cents, which amounts to 80cents premium which is over 400%.  Furthermore, some unique designs could cost $1.99, which is 900%.
The premiums from a dollar point of view are relatively low. So, it is 80cents to $1.80.  You get the same awesome design that is on a silver round, which the silver carries a minimum premium of $2.00. Unique silver designs can cost $5 premium.
I like the idea of a 1 ounce Wheat Cent for 99cents.  It is a recognizable design. I like the BitCoin/BitCon design for $1.99.  I like the "Don't Tread On Me" design for 99cents. It is a cheap way to spread the news about precious metals or other messages.  Inexpensive give-a-ways.
