Yes, I am going to Vegas.  I'll spend maybe $20 on gambling but I won't go more.  

Your best bet for the contest is to follow @pifc so you can see when the post goes up.  It's usually on Mondays, sometimes on Tuesdays.  Take a look at @bengy, @viking-ventures and @roleerob's past posts each are a little different but will give you great ideas on how to put your post together. Once you do your post then you go back to the @pifc post and post your link in the comments.  

There is a lot of garbage or the posts are not long enough.  The ones I dislike are where they throw up a picture and but a line or 2.  No information if they took the picture or if they sourced it.  A good guideline to follow is actually in @viking-ventures postings, she has a link included that is How to get curated.   She curates for other groups, so she has some great advice.  I have pretty much run things the same as she has. She does go a bit more in-depth with a little research to check to make sure things are not translated and plagiarized.  I should. I just run out of time.

I almost always reply too.  I'm a firm believer that this is how we build our community.  Engagement and getting to know people is essential for growth on the platform
