Thanks for reading my stuff. At the time I thought it was a spiritual awakening. That was about 9 years ago. Now I'm pretty sure there is a neurological explanation for most of these "spiritual awakenings". When I originally wrote this though I was still a believer and a seeker. You could say I "woke up" into the truth of atheism.

I believe neural activity is connected to the cosmos and awakenings really are awakenings only if they lead to a positive sustainable change. A near-death experience such as a car crash can be an awakening if one comes out of it with a fresh outlook on life. Atheism, in my opinion, is as good as religion because they are both belief systems that seperate and tag people. Ever wondered why is is no 'Lovism"?
