Hermann has been alone now for over a year? I would long for companionship too. That was interesting information about softening and tanning the hide, and I am very glad to hear that Hermann and his horse finally had a comfortable saddle.

Howdy Butterfly! I know, you can tell how compassionate Hermann was when it came to his horse. Not so much when it came to killing and scalping people, especially whites. lol. As far as longing for companionship, most people are such cry babies that they'd be longing for companionship after a few hours. lol. Not you or me though, we're alot tougher than that. right?

Well I've never had a problem being by myself and I lived alone for many years and Mrs. J calls me a hermit so I could do it if I had to, especially if I had a dog with me, you know, someone who will listen to me and who I can relate to. lol.
