I couldn't agree more. Forcing people to pay and not giving them an option is wrong. It's like medieval times, before the power of state and church was separated. 
My nephew left to work in Germany a couple of months ago and I told him not to reveal his religion for anyone. Tell them he's atheist and doesn't belong to any congregation. 
They need to wake up, this is the 21st century, they can't do that anymore.
