I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, @joalvarez. Being in the airport and not being able to go into the city must have been frustrating. Poland is on my bucket list; I've heard so many good things about it over the years and have had a number of Polish friends - coincidentally, when I was living in Montreal. You probably know there's a pretty vibrant Polish community there so I can attest to enjoying at least one Polish wedding and many, many student evenings out at the Mazurka restaurant on Prince Arthur street (I'm kind of hoping you know Montreal, at least a bit). But to get back to your point, somehow the "New World" can't compare to the depth of history and experience one can find in Europe. It's one of the main reasons we wanted to take Emma there, as before last year she had known only South Africa. I hope you get to take your kids to Europe one day, especially to your homeland of Poland. 😊😊

Wow. I hope you will get to go see Poland, it's beautiful. I know that Montreal has big Polish communities, but I never actually been there, which is sad, but maybe one day. How long did you guys live in South Africa? It sounds like you guys lived there. That would be so amazing. And yes, what an experience for Emma. One day I hope I can give that experience to my kids, they really want to go see Poland.

Hi, @joalvarez - thanks, I hope we get to Poland and I hope you have a chance to visit Montreal as it's a great city. I've lived in Johannesburg for 20 years now after living in Montreal for 30 years. South Africa is where @tim-beck and his kids grew up. So we're all kind of New World babies, although I did start out my life in the UK. Sounds like you, finding home in several places around the world over the years.
