Great post!! I think about this frequently and have implemented some fairly simple disciplines myself as a way to do my small part. Eliminating plastic bags is huge... anything plastic really. I recently watched something about the billions of plastic toothbrushes that are created every year that take eternity to breakdown and am therefore switching to a bamboo version. I also no longer use straws specifically because I watched the video above with the turtle sometime ago. One last practice I've taken on as recommended by someone on Facebook is that anytime I visit a beach I will pick up a minimum of 5 pieces of trash as my entrance fee. I tend to do quite a bit more and it's interesting because others watch you do it and will oftentimes pitch in too.
