I have only been to New Zealand once and that was to the North Island and specifically Raglan. When I was at school my girlfriend and I were obsessive about surfing. This was a little unusual for the time as there weren't many women surfing. We had photos of the surf at Raglan cut out from surfing magazines and stuck to our school folders period we really wanted to go there. Anyway years later my best friend was travelling and she was at the big meditation centre in the north of the North Island and she meet this guy who she instantly falls in love with. A love at first sight story. Turns out he was a Raglan boy period he had grown up there, born and bred. His family had a house overlooking the harbour and had lived there for two generations. The so are you later I went over to Raglan with my family for the wedding. My dad walked her down the aisle . we got to surf Raglan lefts which was just incredible because the only people that were out that day included me, my girlfriend and my dad and my husband period it really was special . now they live in Tasmania. After his mum died they sold the family home for a lot of money and divided it between the kids.
