### Welcome back to my Weekly Portuguese Translation Team Report

First, I want to apologize for not posting a week #4 report. The implementation of the Hard Fork 20 had some unintended consequences (already explained by a lot of people, therefore, there weren't any submissions on that week.

After 5 days, everything returned to the normal state, and the translations started rolling again.

Now, let's get to the report.

## What is the Team working on

Note: Starting this week, i will track the how much of each project have been translated, creating a metric of how close the team is to finishing the translation. 

Next week i will add some pretty looking graphics to make it easier to visualize the evolution of each project.

@leuro and @mrprofessor are still translating [The Curious Expedition](https://crowdin.com/project/the-curious-expedition), and making some good progress on it.

After some weeks of absence, @martusamak started posted his [first contribution](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@martusamak/translation-portuguese-pt-pt-of-quasar-framework-documentation-part-1) on the [Quasar Framework Documentation Project](https://crowdin.com/project/quasar-framework-documentation).

While the translation itself was a good start, with some corrections to be made, he didn't used the right frontend (nor added the necessary beneficiaries to the post), and he won't be recieving a vote on this one.

But don't give up @martusamak! Keep on contributing!

## Lessons Learned

The Hard Fork 20 was the big event of the week that shaked the Steem Blockchain. 

After the fork, almost every user had problems with interacting with the blockchain due to RC use being applied retroactively, and the VP being reseted to zero.

That caused a lot of @utopian-io contributions not being voted.

While there is no contractual obligation, and an upvote from the bot is never guaranteed, it is really amazing to see how the whole @utopian-io team care about it's community, and it was visible that everyone was trying to mitigate the damages caused by the hard fork.

On the Portuguese Team, only [this post](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@leurop/translation-of-the-curious-expedition-from-en-to-portuguese-1043-words-part-4) from @leurop didn't recieved a vote.

On other news, our Community Manager, @rosatravels is doing a pretty extensive research to improve the process and the quality of the translation category. [On her latest post](https://steemit.com/iamutopian/@rosatravels/7-translation-category-part-2-four-standards-professionals-use-to-evaluate-translation-quality-55b4032acf1c3est), she analysis what standards exists on the professional translations industry, as she try to understand how these kind of metrics can be applied into our community.

## Conclusion

Despite HF20, the number of contributions increased, which shows that the team is starting to get used to the process, and posting more.

Also, there is still improvements to be made on the quality of translations. So far, i haven't reviwed any contributions withouth errors. But we will get there.
