thanks for resteeming @lukinsawyer - that's why I saw it, hah. Yes, I agree we definitely need to focus on Steem for the long term - just like it's best to invest in bitcoin long term, not look for a few hundred bucks and sell. Another long term strategy which I've heard is best (and I may post on later) is the  multi channel approach. So the most successful folks here seem to be those that tie their Youtube, Facebook, etc into Steemit, also might be selling a few products and hit from every angle possible.
