The top one is an azalea, I'm pretty sure. The bottom is a rhododendron. 
The only reason I'm not 100% certain is because both flowers/plants are *very* similar with only the size of leaves and flowers to distinguish them visually. 

Additionally, in the top image, you have clematis on the wall behind.

I know many of the common ones in the wild and gardens in the US and UK, but that's about it. I love knowing the names of things in creation - the animals, the plants... it's like my way of showing my respect for the nature around me. :-)

That is a nice way to show respect to nature ^^ .. I looked it up and actually the azalea flowers are in the genus of rhododendron .. so you were right at 100% ;)
