Here is my entry for the contest...

PRIDE ON THE STEEM POWER; A STEEMIAN'S FALL

"Steem! Darling Steem!

You got content up to your brim"

They screamed in my brain 

Till I felt Steem was the earth’s new rain

I knew I had ‘em words,

The writing skill, my major sword

So I bounced on to Steemit

Full of swagger and dollars heat

I didn’t bother on no one’s profile

No follows or making a friend file

Didn’t talk to no damn body

Thought my posts would make Steemit bloody

True to my thoughts on my first post

That first one, the introductory toast

They all made me feel welcome

I thought I had arrived, the new king kong

Upvotes poured in so did nice comments

But I was just too proud, didn’t reply a cent

Then I dropped the next post

And the next post with a little frost

But I saw not even one cent

I didn’t try to hide my rage, vents upon vents

Yet no one gave my rants even a cursory glance

Not until I learnt and I broke my pride stance

Gradually I mixed up

Learnt that its a social media not just a content dump

You see, now I am very humble

That’s why for papa pepper’s power

I cannot but scramble

So even when I become a peppered papa on the Steem’s tower

I will not be forced to crumble
