Talking about fairness and reward pool draining recently... I think is missing the point.

It's about perception in the long run. Take steem guild for example, upvoting themselves to be top trending. From the outside it looks like a few select individuals have been given some power and abused it.

Automatic whale votes, I left a comment, maybe 7 months back to steemed along the lines of if you focus your votes on one area then everything else will become barren.

In my opinion it's not about fairness at the moment, just figuring out the route to mass adoption and scalibility.

A good point made with regard to Facebook staff. I agree with you in spreading awareness. I think your idea of displaying the reward pool may be a good one, not as default though, maybe as an additional feature.
