List of Witnesses that i Support and few Thoughts...

We all know the importance of the Witnesses for the ecosystem of our blockchain. 
With this in mind i want to encourage every single account (no matter how much Steem Power your account holds) to start voting for our Witnesses, as i strongly believe it's our <b>"civic responsibility"</b> to act in this matter.

Below is the list of Witnesses i have voted for:

I will write in the near future a post for every single Witness that i voted for, and most important the reasons why that particular Witness should be voted for. As you probably know an account can vote for a maximum of 30 witnesses, and for the moment i have only 9 votes, and one of the reasons is the following (i add a screen-shot for a better understanding)...

If you take a look at the Witness Voting page you will notice that out of the 100 names listed, 65 are disabled accounts. That's almost three quarters of the list and i think @steemitblog (or somebody from the developing team) should to something about it and remove all the disabled accounts so we can have a real image about the real top 100 Witnesses.
Like this we can have a clear image and vote all our 30 allowed votes.

As well if you have some Witnesses names in mind just let me know as i still have 21 more votes and like this i can show my support.
For the moment my account holds 10347 Steem Power which translates in 20,140,594 VESTS, so it should be a pretty decent vote specially i will Power Up more in the near future.
I will end up this post with a final thought and i looking forward to find out some names of Witnesses that you think should be voted:

Most of those disabled witnesses were voted a long time ago and their supporters don't seem to care about updating their votes to support more active witnesses.

We can't just remove them from the list, because it represents the actual witnesses ordered by their calculated ranks from the blockchain. The problem will resolve itself over time, but what we can do is voting more witnesses to the top that are running the current Steem version (0.23.1). So, in your case I would recommend to vote for a few more active witnesses like:

@roadofrich, @marcosdk, @ety001, @fuli (these are a few by me recommended witnesses that are actively working on improving Steem).

Either that or they are not presented with witnesses that will uphold the most basic principles of blockchain governance. How hard is it to not support stealing? Apparently on steem it's very hard as you yourself can attain to.

Either that, or you could present a hardfork that people actually agree with. Currently, all steem governance is set by one entity which continues to control the blockchain in a centralized fashion. So there really is nothing you can do fix this.

Greetings dear @georgemales.

You have several important approaches here and which I share with you.

I have also noticed this for a long time. It really doesn't bother me that those names are there, since if we are firm in supporting any witness, this will not change our way of thinking.

I think those witnesses remain listed because there are still users who have their votes for them.
Here another important situation arises: the majority of users do not keep their witnesses' votes updated. Maybe they entered the room once, voted, and never came back.
