Frowning never did anything good. Either just remove the upvote-button from the users own content, or let people vote for themselves.

I think I prefer the first option, remove the button. That way people can use one more vote for other things.

That is an interesting angle for sure.. That would solve the self upvote thing.. But would people just not upvote from alt accounts then?

Maybe, but nothing keeps them from doing that now, anyways. It would for example make it impossible for you to upvote yourself to come on top of in the comment section. Others would be the judges and I think that would be OK.

Either-or I think that it should just be a structural decision, but that is maybe because I do not really trust the big social media lynch-pussy to be the master of too much frowning :)

EDIT: I will let it stand because it is actually quite fitting, but I am aware of the typo in <em>lynch-posse</em>

Heheh. I see no problem with colourful typos on my posts. Infact I encourage open use of all words you feel you wish to express. :P

I'm not sure if there is a right nor wrong answer in the discussion. Merely collecting users thought.
