Over the years, I have been interested in learning what is the essence of comedy/humor etc. This article is right on; very insightful! I like how you remove the woo woo/mystical view of a topic and analyze it scientifically in plain language. What applies to comedy, also applies to music. A band can create what they think is a fabulous, end all song and get a ho-hum reception. Then, they play a mediocre song from their repertoire and the crowd goes wild; everyone gets up and dances. Smart musicians will be sure to play the latter song again as they have added another song to their "creative vocabulary". 100% upvote, resteemed and tweeted.
