This floating ship monument reminds us of the awesomeness of the tsunami waves in Aceh on December 26, 2004, the diesel powered floating power plant to the mainland of the punge, blangcut, banda aceh villages proved to be the greatest tsunami of the day.

Previously this ship is a source of power flow listri in ulee lheue area, the location of this ship in moor before the tsunami,
The vessel has a length of 36 meters capable of generating 10.5 megawatts of power. And the vessel reaches 1,900 square meters with a weight of 2,600 tons, therefore no one can imagine that this ship could be very far away to the city of banda aceh.

This ship was dragged wave tsunami as high as 9 meters on December 26, 2004 to the center of aceh aceh city which is 5 km, this ship was exposed to the middle of settlement, village of punge. And it is not far from the tsunami museum.

1 person from 11 crew and some residents who survived the disaster.

This ship is now made in a museum of witnesses to the devastating tsunami and the region has been purchased by the government.

Monumen kapal apung ini mengingatkan kita pada kedahsyatan gelombang tsunami di aceh pada 26 desember 2004, kapal PLTD (pembangkit listrik tenaga diesel) yang terapung ke daratan desa punge, blangcut, banda aceh ini menjadi bukti dahsyatnya tsunami pada hari itu.

Sebelumnya kapal ini merupakan sumber arus tenaga listri di kawasan ulee lheue, letak kapal ini di tambatkan sebelum terjadi tsunami,
Kapal ini memiliki panjang 36 meter mampu menghasilkan daya 10,5 megawatt. Dan luas kapal mencapai 1.900 meter persegi dengan bobot 2.600 ton, maka dari itu, tidak ada yang dapat membayangkan kalau kapal ini bisa terdapar dengan sangat jauh ke kota banda aceh.

Kapal ini terseret ombak tsunami setinggi 9 meter pada tanggal 26 desember 2004 ke tengah kota bansa aceh yang berjarak 5 km, kapal ini terdamapar ke tengah permukiman, desa punge. Dan letaknya tidak jauh dari museum tsunami.

1 orang dari 11 awak kapal dan beberapa warga yang selamat pada musibah itu.

Kapal ini sekarang di jadikan sebuah museum atas saksi dahsyatnya bencana tsunami dan kawasan tersebut sudah di beli oleh pemerintah.

Postingan yang sangat menarik @afriaulia, kapal apung yang mengingatkan saya akan masa-masa kelam yang hitam bak hitamnya air Tsunami yang melanda Aceh.
Kapal apung yang sekarang menjadi saksi bisu pada bencana tsunami yang meluluh lantakkan Aceh pada 2004 silam adalah musibah yang mengguncangkan Aceh termasuk dunia internasional.

Wow!! I am so glad that you decided to write also in english! I´ve seen some of your posts and your language is no so different so I could understand some but this is great, I can finally leave a comment without sounding goofy because I didn´t understand the post!!

I remember that Tsunami, I was very young but I remember watching it on the news. This post is very good, trying to remind us what and how it happened, and the suffering. It must be good to visit that museum...

Afri aulia anda memang sangat mantap. 
Itu salah satu kapal yang terbawah oleh air laut ke darat waktu sunami. Banda aceh memang banyak sejarah sunami. Sekarang sudah di ubah ubah dan dibuat buat menjadi sejarah waktu sunami. Kapal begitu beratnya bisa juga di bawak oleh air laut ke darat. Itu salah satu kapal lestrik yang berada di dalam laut. Berlibur anda memang sangat hebat afri. Anda berlibur tidak ada ruginya, karna anda berlibur ke tempat sejarah sejarah yang ada di aceh..
