These vibrations forms sound waves that moves through the air or water and then it reaches our ears.</p> <p>The eardrum in your ear vibrates and this vibration is send to different parts of the ear and in turn the brain sends it back as a sound that you can recognize. Some sounds are too high for our ears to hear.</p> <p>Sound needs to travel in air because the molecules vibrates. This means that sound can not travel in a vacuum - an area with no air.</p> <p>Sound travels very fast and the speed of sound is 1 230 km per hour.
