<p class="justificar">La intensa luz de aquella brillante estrella calentaba su calva
cabeza, mientras, sentado en la popa del velero, disfrutaba de una
bebida helada, miró las dos cañas que reposaban en sus soportes, sólo
para darse cuenta de que los peces seguían sin prestar la mínima
atención a su carnada.</p>
<p class="justificar">La gentil briza seguía empujando suavemente la nave, mientras sólo
dedicaba una parte de sus vacaciones a perder el tiempo yendo, de un
lado a otro en este enorme lago. Al otro extremo del velero, en la proa,
recostada sobre los tablones de la cubierta, su pareja e hija se
tostaban, ante el cálido sol que iluminaba este pequeño planeta
santuario; en realidad era un ejercicio inútil, antes de que llegara la
mañana de un nuevo día, ya los nanobots de reparación celular, habrían
restaurado el daño que sobre la epidermis hayan provocado los rayos UV, y
nuevamente todos lucirían su habitual tez pálida, típica de los nativos
de Caronte.</p>
<p class="justificar">Tomó otro sorbo de su vaso, mientras seguía atentamente al sedal,
arrastrado por el movimiento del velero. A través de las cristalinas
aguas se veía, como un pequeño cardumen de peces, seguía la carnada de
uno de sus sedales. Por fin tendría la suerte de atrapar algo, pensó,
mantuvo la vista atenta a donde el sedal se internaba en la superficie
del agua, pero después de un rato los peces perdieron el interés y
siguieron su camino. Nuevamente se sentó y siguió sorbiendo
despreocupadamente su bebida.</p>
<p class="justificar">Los veleros eran una reminiscencia de un tiempo en que los humanos se
desplazaron precariamente a través de los mares de la Tierra, a la
merced de la imprevisibilidad del clima, expuestos a violentas tormentas
y destructivos oleajes, dedicando cada segundo del viaje a luchar
contra los elementos, para mantener el curso y llegar al puerto deseado.
Controlar unas de estas embarcaciones era el máximo reto para los
marinos y en consecuencia, la más gratificante experiencia.</p>
<p class="justificar">Hoy, en medio de este gigantesco lago, guiar una de las varias
embarcaciones de este tipo, que eran arrendadas por doscientos créditos
al día, no era más difícil que ordenar comida a domicilio, con dibujar
una ruta con el dedo en la proyección interactiva del mapa del lago, era
suficiente para que la IA, que controla la embarcación, se haga cargo
de realizar todos los cálculos y ajustes del timón y orientación de las
velas, que sean necesarias para mantener el rumbo trazado con un error
menor al 0,5%.</p>
<p class="justificar">Entre tanto, los pasajeros podían dedicar su tiempo a disfrutar
completamente del viaje; tal como en este momento hacían Matías su
pareja e hija, degustando las bebidas y alimentos que les eran servidos
por los tres robots mayordomos de abordo, mientras podían pescar, nadar
en el lago o simplemente tomar el sol.</p>
<p class="justificar">Después de estar casi una hora sentado contemplando el lago y tomando
edulcoradas bebidas frutales, Matías, aburrido de esperar a que un pez
se interesara en su carnada, se quedó dormido frente a las cañas.</p>
<p class="justificar">La fresca briza del lago contrastaba con la, cálida pero agradable
luz que, entre la delgada capa de nubes, se colaba para entibiar su
calva cabeza y desnudo torso. Mientras dormía, soñó con un gran pez, tal
vez una trucha gigante o un enorme koi de esos de treinta kilogramos,
se veía a si mismo luchando con el animal, hasta lograr sacarlo del agua
y dárselo a los mayordomos para que prepararan la cena.</p>
<p class="justificar">Sería la mejor historia para contar a sus compañeros de La Oficina de
Minas de Paladio de Caronte, mientras se deleitaba saboreando en sueños
el delicioso pez, pudo ver a Ivana su pareja y Paula su hija gritando
desesperadas, empujándolo y sacudiéndolo, mientras el trataba de
llevarse a la boca un exquisito bocado de aquel delicioso y cálido
manjar, tanto lo sacudieron que el plato que sostenía sobre su
voluminoso abdomen, se volteo dejando caer sobre su pecho el caliente
bocado.</p>
<p class="justificar">Agitado y sudoroso, con su piel ardiendo como si estuviera en llamas,
Matías se despertó en medio de los tirones y sacudidas de Ivana y
Paula. Estuvo dormido durante casi tres horas bajo el brillante
resplandor de la estrella, la piel de su pecho, abdomen y anteriormente
blanca calva, tenía un color rojo que podía competir con el de las más
exquisitas langostas del mar de Palas, montones de ampollas la adornaban
y el dolor casi no lo dejaba incorporarse. Afortunadamente para él para
mañana, quizá para la tarde más que para la mañana, estaría
completamente sanado, gracias a los nanobots de reparación celular, que
pululaban en su torrente sanguíneo, pero lo que quedaba del día y la
noche serían un verdadero infierno, todo por querer tener el registro de
la captura, como se hacía hace varios miles de años, de un hermoso
ejemplar de pez koi o una trucha gigante.</p>

<h2><center>Fishing Day</center></h2>
<p class="justificar">The intense light of that bright star warmed his bald head, while
sitting at the stern of the sailboat, enjoying an icy drink, he looked
at the two rods resting on their supports, only to realize that the fish
were still not paying the slightest attention to their bait.</p>
<p class="justificar">The gentle breeze continued to gently push the ship, while he spent
only part of his vacation wasting time going from one side to the other
in this enormous lake. At the other end of the sailboat, on the bow,
reclining on the planks of the deck, his couple and daughter toasted,
before the warm sun that illuminated this small sanctuary planet; in
reality it was a useless exercise, before the morning of a new day
arrived, and the nanobots of cellular repair, would have restored the
damage on the epidermis caused by UV rays, and again all would look
their usual pale complexion, typical of the natives of Charon.</p>
<p class="justificar">He took another sip from his glass, as he carefully followed the
line, dragged by the movement of the sailboat. Through the crystalline
waters it was seen, like a small school of fish, following the bait of
one of its lines. At last he would be lucky enough to catch something,
he thought, keeping an eye on where the line went into the surface of
the water, but after a while the fish lost interest and went on their
way. Again he sat down and continued to sip his drink carefree.</p>
<p class="justificar">The sailboats were reminiscent of a time when humans moved
precariously across the Earth's seas, at the mercy of unpredictable
weather, exposed to violent storms and destructive waves, devoting every
second of the voyage to fighting the elements, to maintain the course
and reach the desired port. Controlling one of these vessels was the
ultimate challenge for the sailors and, consequently, the most rewarding
experience.</p>
<p class="justificar">Today, in the middle of this gigantic lake, guiding one of the
various boats of this type, which were leased for two hundred credits a
day, was no more difficult than ordering food at home, with drawing a
route with your finger on the interactive projection of the map of the
lake, it was enough for the IA, which controls the boat, to take charge
of making all the calculations and adjustments of the rudder and
orientation of the sails, which are necessary to maintain the course
plotted with an error of less than 0.5%.</p>
<p class="justificar">In the meantime, the passengers could dedicate their time to fully
enjoy the trip; just as Matías, their couple and daughter, were doing at
this moment, tasting the drinks and food served to them by the three
butler robots on board, while they could fish, swim in the lake or
simply sunbathe.</p>
<p class="justificar">After sitting for almost an hour contemplating the lake and drinking
sweetened fruit drinks, Matías, bored of waiting for a fish to become
interested in his bait, fell asleep in front of the reeds.</p>
<p class="justificar">The cool breeze of the lake contrasted with the warm but pleasant
light that, among the thin layer of clouds, sneaked in to warm his bald
head and naked torso. While he slept, he dreamed of a big fish, perhaps a
giant trout or a huge koi of those thirty kilograms, he saw himself
struggling with the animal, until he managed to get it out of the water
and give it to the butlers to prepare dinner.</p>
<p class="justificar">It would be the best story to tell to his companions of The Office of
Mines of Palladium of Charonte, while he delighted tasting in dreams
the delicious fish, he could see Ivana his couple and Paula his daughter
shouting desperately, pushing it and shaking it, while he tried to take
to the mouth an exquisite mouthful of that delicious and warm delicacy,
so much they shook it that the plate that he held on his voluminous
abdomen, turned over letting fall on his chest the warm mouthful.</p>
<p class="justificar">Agitated and sweaty, with his skin burning as if in flames, Matías woke up in the middle of the jerks and shakes of Ivana and Paula. He slept for almost three hours under the bright glow of the star, the skin of his chest, abdomen and formerly white bald, had a red color that could compete with that of the most exquisite lobsters of the sea of Palas, piles of ampoules adorned it and the pain almost did not allow him to rise. Fortunately for him for tomorrow, perhaps for the afternoon more than for the morning, he would be completely healed, thanks to the cell repair nanobots, which swarmed in his bloodstream, but what remained of the day and night would be a real hell, all for wanting to have the record of the capture, as it was done several thousand years ago, of a beautiful specimen of koi fish or a giant trout.</p>
