<b>Crucifixion</b>

Ink, acrylics and spray on wood.

Hello to all dear friends.

Today's theme is very dramatic: the crucifixion.

A capital execution much used in the days of the Roman Empire, and of which we also have reports of men crucified by Islamic extremists in Syria.

My painting offers some ideas for reflection, with rays of light cutting the picture.

The figure of the man sentenced to death is almost an X-ray.

I wanted to highlight some parts of the painting, the left hand and the horizontal axis of the cross, black.

The environment is total abstraction, divided into two spaces.

At the top above the cross a yellow shape evokes the departure, the flight upwards.

A death sentence considered universally the most
Atrocious.

It was an endless humiliation, between suffering and ridicule of the executioners and people.

For this reason the Romans never crucified their citizens, but only slaves and foreigners.

<b>Crocefissione</b>


Ciao a tutti cari amici.

Il tema di oggi è molto drammatico: la crocifissione.

Una esecuzione capitale molto usata ai tempi dell'impero romano, e di cui abbiamo anche notizie di uomini crocifissi dagli estremisti islamici in Siria.

Il mio dipinto offre alcuni spunti di riflessione, con dei raggi di luce che tagliano il quadro.

La figura dell'uomo condannato a morte è quasi una radiografia.

Ho voluto mettere in risalto alcune parti del dipinto, la mano sinistra e l'asse orizzontale della croce, nero.

L'ambiente è astrazione totale, diviso in due spazi.

Nella parte alta sopra la croce un forma di colore giallo evoca la partenza, il volo verso l'alto.

Una condanna a morte considerata universalmente la più
atroce,.

Si trattava di una umiliazione infinita, tra sofferenza e lo scherno dei carnefici e delle persone.

Per questo motivo i romani non crocifiggevano mai i loro cittadini, ma solo gli schiavi e gli stranieri.
