<h1>I was singing the praises of the latest improvements to the platform, especially the increased payouts, to my husband yesterday.</h1>

He's been watching me run around like a crazy-woman - wrangling the outdoor projects, taking pictures, clacking away on the keyboard. So, when he mentioned he was hungry and feeling creative, I said I'd do a post and show him how easy it is.  I took the pictures, but he did all the actual prep and cooking. So, here we go...

First, were a few donations from our ancient chive plant. It's been here over 25 years and is our most reliable producer. It's a good thing it thrives on neglect.

Next, was a handful of asparagas stalks.

And rounding out the ingredients are about a half cup frozen cut spinach, one egg, and some chicken soup base. (Better Than Bouillon lives up to it's name. Highly recommend!)

Snip the chives into confetti.

Snap the asparagus into bite size chunks.

Bring three cups of water to a boil in a medium sauce pan. Add a teaspoon of soup base paste. Add frozen spinach and asparagus. Reduce heat to a simmer, cook til asparagus is tender. Crack egg in a cup, break the yolk, stir yolk into whites briefly. Increase heat to medium before adding the egg. Liquid should be very hot, but not boiling as you slowly drizzle egg into soup, gently stirring - egg drop style. 

Serve with generous sprinkle of chives over the top. Amounts of the ingredients may be adjusted to your tastes. This is just what we had on hand.
