Game of Thrones - $6M BTC Ransom from HBO

HBO is currently dealing with a $250,000 BITCOIN problem. They were attacked and a lot of important data was stolen and is being taunted. It might be released if a $6M bitcoin expenditure isn't sent out.. HBO responded with a $250K bug bounty deal.

HBO shouldn't pay any ransoms because the hackers aren't to be trusted anyways. What if they release AND keep the coins? Also if they did, it'd set up a bad precedent for future attacks, don't ya think?

They've got the data, HBO are not getting it back, they should just wipe their servers of any problems and accept they fucked up, make sure to change their passwords and implement new security measures. We live in interesting times though that Bitcoin is being used by hackers so much to ransom governments and organisations.

Maybe they could share a slightly bigger cut of their upvote reward so they end up upvoting less spam looking content.
